MARK FORRESTER

Mark graduated at the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems (2003), having previously received a Digital Design diploma.

He has spent the bulk of his entrepreneurial career building tech-enabled businesses. In 2015, he sold WooThemes, makers of WooCommerce - an ecommerce platform powering millions of shopfronts around the world. Since then, he has become an early-stage investor and advisor in impactful, predominantly South African start-ups.

Mark is married with two young boys. A keen photographer, surfer, and family adventurer. A proud descendant of HL Hall. Mark joined Halls as a non-executive director in 2019.
