JONO SWART
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jono completed his studies part-time and qualified with a BCompt (Hon); CTA degree whilst doing his articles at Ernst & Young between 1985 to 1990.
He joined the Central Timber Co-operative in 1991 until 2009.
During this time Jono completed his MBA through the university of Wales and worked his way up from financial accountant to general manager.
In 2009 Jono joined TWK Agriculture as timber business development executive.
In May 2010 he started his own business and currently is the executive director of the Halorite group of companies. The group has developed products and solutions and owns patents focused on providing water saving solutions and the provision of energy saving products and services.
Jono joined Halls as a non-executive director in Aug 2001
Details of activities outside of work: After the completion of his MBA, Jono did part time lecturing of MBA students in financial management. Jono is married to Ros and they have two children, Mark and Kate. Jono enjoys languages and he speaks English, Afrikaans, German, Zulu and a little Japanese. Jono is passionate about outdoor activities – fly fishing, wing shooting, hiking, tennis and water sports.
