AYANDA KANANA

Ayanda completed his articles at Deloitte in 2007 and joined the management ranks until 2013 where he followed his passion of serving in the public sector. He was entrusted with some of the key institutions within the City of Johannesburg. Ayanda was the Director for Governance and Reporting for the City; Managing Executive for the Metro Trading Company; and the CEO of the Johannesburg Market. He later joined the Land & Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa as the CEO where he was instrumental in assisting with the turnaround strategy for the bank.

Ayanda has made a transition from the public service and he joined Halls on 1 June 2022 as the CEO of the Fresh Produce Pillar, a career move that he sees as a consolidator of essential experience towards leading in uncertain times.
